Quest for Craft

An exploration of the “obsessive, never-ending, whatever-it-takes journey to create something extraordinary”, Quest For Craft is an ongoing web series creating in partnership with Questlove and The Balvenie. Filmed at Electric Lady Studio (the legendary NYC space built by Jimi Hendrix) each episode centers around a conversation with Questlove and a creative peer exploring a theme around craft and creativity and includes “rabbit hole” films that deeper/widen the quest. Themes and guests have included: Michael Che and Chaos, Patti Smith and Time, Yo-Yo Ma and Connection. Working with Quaker City Mercantile, Jerry conceived the show and continues to creative direct the series. Shay operated camera for the rabbit hole film featuring former astronaut and world-class creative Leland Melvin (Jerry conducted the interview) (you can see this within the Chemistry episode with Kenan Williams). The series won the 2023 Webby award for Best Branded Content Video Series.
